Jazz's Walker Kessler: Will remain out for Tuesday
Kessler (hip) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Lakers, Andy Larsen of The Salt Lake Tribune reports.
Kessler hasn't taken the floor since Nov. 9 due to right hip bursitis. His next chance at a return will arrive Thursday against the Spurs, though he'd likely need to ramp up his activity quickly to have a chance to play.

Jazz's Jordan Clarkson: Leads team in scoring off bench
Clarkson closed with 21 points (7-17 FG, 2-11 3Pt, 5-5 FT), four rebounds, two assists and one steal across 30 minutes during Sunday's 116-105 loss to the Clippers.
Clarkson might have come off the bench in this one, as Collin Sexton and Keyonte George are entrenched as the starting backcourt, but that didn't stop the veteran from being the Jazz's highest-scorer in this 11-point defeat. Clarkson continues to produce as a member of the second unit and has scored at least 15 points in six straight games, averaging 18.0 points per game in that span. He's putting up numbers despite his lack of efficiency, so fantasy managers in category-based leagues aren't reaping all the benefits Clarkson can deliver with his scoring exploits. He's shooting just 40.7 percent from the field in that six-game stretch.

Jazz's John Collins: Comes close to double-double
Collins recorded 13 points (5-6 FG, 3-3 FT), eight rebounds, two assists and two steals across 31 minutes during Sunday's 116-105 loss to the Clippers.
Collins has been playing well since being promoted to the starting lineup due to the absence of Walker Kessler (hip), and fantasy managers should be enjoying his uptick in fantasy value with his new role. Collins is averaging 21.5 points and 8.8 rebounds per game as a starter, and he figures to remain in the first unit until Kessler is ready to return.

Jazz's Lauri Markkanen: First double-double of season
Markkanen produced 18 points (6-12 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 2-4 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist and one steal across 39 minutes during Sunday's 116-105 loss to the Clippers.
Markkanen did what he could in this matchup and posted a solid stat line across the board en route to his first double-double of the season. Markkanen has scored at least 15 points in four of his last five outings, a span in which he's averaging 18.6 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game.

Kessler will miss his fourth consecutive contest due to right hip bursitis. John Collins will likely draw the start at center again. Kessler's next chance to suit up will come Tuesday against the Lakers.

Collins continued to perform well at the five, but a switch to power forward is looming with Walker Kessler's (hip) return on the horizon. The Jazz have had to speed up Kyle Filipowski's development to lessen the Jazz's size disadvantage, and the rookie will eventually move back to a reserve role to make room for Collins when Kessler returns. A production fluctuation from Collins is a distinct possibility, but the scenario will become clearer next week.

George is beginning to trend back up after a slow game against Phoenix earlier in the week. George's 19 points marked his second-highest point total of the season. His season-high 33-point performance against Chicago has proven to be an outlier, as the rest of his results hover in the 10-15 point range.

His shot accuracy in the loss was an encouraging sign, as he's struggled to find the bottom of the basket in recent weeks.

The 25-year-old got the starting nod for the sixth consecutive contest and finished as the club's third-highest scorer behind John Collins (28) and Jordan Clarkson (20). Sexton has scored in double figures in all six games during November, and he has averaged 17.0 points, 4.0 assists, 3.2 rebounds and 1.0 steals while shooting 46.4 percent from beyond the arc across 29.7 minutes per game.
