Trail Blazers' Scoot Henderson: Hands out 10 assists
Henderson closed with six points (3-11 FG, 0-4 3Pt), one rebound, 10 assists, one block and one steal in 30 minutes during Sunday's 114-110 win over the Hawks.
Henderson struggled badly from the field, as evidenced by his scoring output, but he made an impact in the playmaking department. It was the first time Henderson dished out 10 dimes this season, and with 15 assists in his last two appearances as a starter, he might continue to experience an uptick in his numbers as long as he remains in the first unit. That will ultimately depend on the return of Anfernee Simons, who's sidelined with an illness.

Trail Blazers' Dalano Banton: Scores season-high 23 points
Banton supplied 23 points (9-19 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal across 26 minutes during Sunday's 114-110 win over the Hawks.
Banton posted his best scoring output of the season in this win over the Hawks and continued his solid stretch of play, as he's scored in double digits coming off the bench in all but one of his nine November appearances. He's averaging 13.3 points, 3.0 assists and 2.2 rebounds per game in that span.

Trail Blazers' Shaedon Sharpe: Scores 32 points in win
Sharpe closed Sunday's 114-110 win over the Hawks with 32 points (11-21 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 7-12 FT), two rebounds, five assists and three steals over 32 minutes.
Sharpe led the way for Portland in this victory and extended his impressive streak in the scoring column, reaching the 30-point mark for the second straight game. Sharpe didn't make his season debut until Nov. 7 due to a shoulder injury, and it seems he's definitively trending in the right direction now that he's shaken all the rust off. After all, his first appearance of the season on Nov. 7 was his first regular-season contest since Jan. 11. Sharpe is averaging 22.3 points per game since being promoted to a starting role, where he's expected to remain for the foreseeable future.

Trail Blazers' Deandre Ayton: Ruled out vs. Hawks
Ayton (finger) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Hawks.
Ayton will miss his third consecutive game due to a right finger sprain. The big man underwent imaging on the index finger which revealed a deep contusion of the proximal phalanx, though he will still be considered day-to-day until the team provides an update that says otherwise. Donovan Clingan and Robert Williams are both likely to receive an uptick in playing time with Ayton sidelined. His next chance to play will come Wednesday against the Thunder.

Trail Blazers' Robert Williams: Available Sunday vs. Atlanta
Williams (rest) will be available against the Hawks on Sunday.
After sitting out the Trail Blazers' first nine games of the 2024-25 regular season due to a hamstring injury, Williams returned for the next three contests and averaged 12.0 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.7 blocks and 1.7 steals over 17.7 minutes per game. He was held out of this past Wednesday's game against Minnesota, but he will return Sunday following three days of additional rest. Williams could see big minutes off the bench if Deandre Ayton (finger) is unable to play.

Trail Blazers' Matisse Thybulle: Out vs. Atlanta
Thybulle (knee) is out for Sunday's game against the Hawks.
Thybulle hasn't played at all this season, and the veteran defensive specialist doesn't have a clear timetable for his return. His next opportunity to make his season debut following knee surgery will be against the Thunder on Wednesday.

Trail Blazers' Anfernee Simons: Won't play Sunday
Simons (illness) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against Atlanta.
Simons experienced shortness of breath during the Trail Blazers' win over the Timberwolves on Tuesday. He was able to return to practice Saturday, but he'll be held out for a second straight game, and his next chance to suit up will be against the Thunder on Wednesday. Scoot Henderson should make his second straight start with Simons sidelined Sunday.

Trail Blazers' Deandre Ayton: Unlikely to play against Atlanta
Coach Chauncey Billups said Ayton (finger) is unlikely to play in Sunday's game versus the Hawks, Sean Highkin of Rip City Radio 620 Portland reports.
Ayton is expected to miss his third straight contest due to a sprained right finger. If Ayton is ultimately ruled out yet again, Donovan Clingan should continue to start at center.

Trail Blazers' Anfernee Simons: Unlikely to play Sunday
Coach Chauncey Billups said Simons (illness) returned to practice Saturday but is unlikely to play in Sunday's game versus the Hawks, Sean Highkin of Rip City Radio 620 Portland reports.
Simons will likely miss his second straight contest due to an illness. However, the 25-year-old guard's participation in practice is a good sign that he is nearing a return to action. If he's ruled out, Simons' next chance to suit up would come Wednesday in Oklahoma City.

Trail Blazers' Jerami Grant: Struggles in victory
Grant registered eight points (3-12 FG, 2-4 3Pt), three rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal across 35 minutes during Wednesday's 106-98 win over Minnesota.
Grant failed to score double-digit points for the first time since Oct. 30 during Wednesday's win. The 30-year-old forward has struggled with his efficiency this season, shooting just 38.5 percent from the field. After shooting 40.2 percent from three last season, Grant is converting just 34.4 percent of his 6.9 three-point attempts per contest in 2024-25.

Trail Blazers' Dalano Banton: Another solid outing
Banton registered 13 points (4-7 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 4-5 FT), two rebounds, five assists, one block and two steals in 24 minutes during Wednesday's 106-98 victory over Minnesota.
Banton has now posted double-digit points in seven of his last eight appearances. The 25-year-old guard has also recorded at least one steal and one block in four of those games, including in Wednesday's win.

Trail Blazers' Scoot Henderson: Posts 11 points in starting role
Henderson logged 11 points (4-10 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, five assists and two steals over 27 minutes during Wednesday's 106-98 win over the Timberwolves.
Henderson logged his first start of the season with mixed results. It's difficult to break into the starting five with Anfernee Simons (illness) and Shaedon Sharpe playing at a high level, and Sharpe's 33 -point performance in the win clouds Henderson's outlook even further. Henderson was drafted as the presumptive heir to Damian Lillard's role last season, but first-unit minutes aren't coming his way.

Trail Blazers' Shaedon Sharpe: Pours in 33 points
Sharpe finished with 33 points (12-23 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 6-7 FT), six rebounds and one assist over 36 minutes during Wednesday's 106-98 victory over the Timberwolves.
Sharpe finally came out of his shell Wednesday after a sluggish start to the season. The team moved Toumani Camara to the wing and slid Sharpe into the off-guard role with Anfernee Simons (illness) out. The switch could be the key to a continued increase for Sharpe, but implementing the change permanently will hurt Scoot Henderson's fantasy outlook.

Trail Blazers' Donovan Clingan: Double-doubles with eight blocks
Clingan chipped in 17 points (6-10 FG, 5-5 FT), 12 rebounds, one assist and eight blocks in 31 minutes during Wednesday's 106-98 victory over the Timberwolves.
With Deandre Ayton (finger) out again, Portland's 2024 first-round pick turned in a stellar performance. At 7-foot-2 and 282 pounds, Clingan is a challenge for any frontcourt, and he posted the huge number against Rudy Gobert and Julius Randle, arguably the best interior duo in the league. The UConn product dominated inside with eight blocked shots and was only two swats short of the rare point-rebound-block triple-double.
