  • Pelicans' Trey Murphy: Will play Tuesday

Murphy (hamstring) isn't listed on the injury report for Tuesday's game against the Mavericks.

As expected, Murphy will return to action Tuesday after resting during Saturday's loss to the Lakers, which was the second leg of a back-to-back set. Murphy has scored in double figures in all three of his appearances this season, averaging 14.3 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 27.3 minutes. With CJ McCollum (thigh), Herbert Jones (shoulder), Jordan Hawkins (back), Dejounte Murray (hand), Zion Williamson (hamstring) and Jose Alvarado (hamstring) all still sidelined, Murphy should have the green light versus Dallas.

  • Pelicans' CJ McCollum: Will remain out Tuesday

McCollum (thigh) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Mavericks.

McCollum is nearing a return to game action, but his absence streak will extend to 11 games Tuesday. The veteran logged a full practice Monday, so it's only a matter of time before he gets the green light, though he'll presumably face heavy restrictions at first. Brandon Boston should continue to see increased playing time until McCollum is cleared to suit up again.

  • Pelicans' Karlo Matkovic: Recalled to NBA

The Pelicans recalled Matkovic from the G League's Birmingham Squadron on Monday.

Matkovic made four appearances with the Squadron, averaging 17.3 points, 9.5 rebounds and 2.3 blocks in 27.4 minutes per game. On Sunday, he posted 24 points (8-12 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 10 rebounds, two blocks and an assist in 27 minutes during a blowout win over the G League's Oklahoma City Blue.

  • Pelicans' Dejounte Murray: Ramps up activity

Murray (hand) was able to do some on-court work at Monday's practice, Erin Summers of the Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network reports.

Murray was also able to do some shooting, but he hasn't been cleared for contact just yet. After undergoing surgery back on Oct. 25, Murray was given a 4-to-6-week timetable, and it appears that he's ramping up towards a return in the near future.

  • Pelicans' CJ McCollum: Goes through practice

McCollum (thigh) was able to go through Monday's practice, Will Guillory of The Athletic reports.

The Pelicans face the Mavericks on the road Tuesday, but coach Willie Green wasn't ready to disclose McCollum's status. The veteran has missed the past 10 games for the Pelicans, but he's on the verge of a return. There should be more clarity after the Pelicans release their injury report Monday evening.

  • Pelicans' Jeremiah Robinson-Earl: Decent output as starter

Robinson-Earl notched 10 points (4-9 FG, 2-6 3Pt), nine rebounds and an assist across 33 minutes in Saturday's 104-99 loss to the Lakers.

Robinson-Earl got the start due to the absence of Trey Murphy (hamstring) and posted a solid line, ending just one rebound shy of a double-double and playing with some much-needed energy in a depleted lineup that's lacking confidence right now. Murphy is expected to return for the game against the Mavericks on Tuesday, and if that's the case, then Robinson-Earl is likely to return to a bench role.

  • Pelicans' Brandon Boston: Sniffs double-double in loss

Boston recorded 12 points (4-12 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, five assists and a steal across 36 minutes in Saturday's 104-99 loss to the Lakers.

Boston had a rough shooting performance Saturday and needed 12 shots to score 12 points. Even though Boston finished just two boards away from a double-double, the shooting woes continue to plague him. He's now failed to reach the 15-point mark in three of his last four appearances while shooting 17-for-48 from the field in that stretch.

  • Pelicans' Brandon Ingram: Scores team-high 32 points

Ingram posted 32 points (11-23 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 7-9 FT), four rebounds, eight assists, three steals and a block across 38 minutes in Saturday's 104-99 loss to the Lakers.

Ingram was the driving force for this depleted Pelicans roster, and he posted another impressive stat line despite the loss. Despite the team's struggles, Ingram has been very valuable in fantasy due to his high usage and undisputed status as the Pelicans' go-to option on offense while Zion Williamson (hamstring) is out. He's scored at least 20 points in all but two of his appearances this month while also posting solid numbers in other categories such as rebounds, steals and assists.

  • Pelicans' Jeremiah Robinson-Earl: Starting vs. Lakers

Robinson-Earl is in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Lakers.

Robinson-Earl returns to the first unit for this matchup since Trey Murphy (hamstring) is sidelined due to injury management. Robinson-Earl is averaging 12.0 points and 4.5 rebounds per game as a starter this season.

  • Pelicans' CJ McCollum: Remaining sidelined Saturday

McCollum (thigh) is out for Saturday's game versus the Lakers.

Despite returning to practice earlier this week, McCollum is set to miss his 10th straight game due to a strained right adductor. The veteran guard's next chance to suit up is Tuesday's matchup in Dallas.

  • Pelicans' Trey Murphy: Sitting out Saturday

Murphy won't play in Saturday's game versus the Lakers due to right hamstring injury management.

Murphy will sit out the second leg of New Orleans' back-to-back set due to maintenance for a hamstring injury that forced him to miss the beginning of the 2024-25 campaign. Murphy should be able to suit up for Tuesday's matchup in Dallas.

  • Pelicans' Yves Missi: Pulls down 12 rebounds

Missi chipped in six points (2-6 FG, 2-2 FT), 12 rebounds and one steal over 29 minutes during Friday's 101-94 victory over the Nuggets.

Missi didn't have his best shooting performance Friday, but the inconsistency in the scoring column is somewhat expected for a rookie who was always believed to be a work in progress on the offensive end of the court. He's making his presence felt on the glass, though. This 12-rebound haul was Missi's third straight game with double-digit boards, and he's averaging 7.6 boards per contest since he was moved to the starting lineup Nov. 1.

  • Pelicans' Brandon Ingram: Carries Pelicans to victory Friday

Ingram racked up 29 points (12-26 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), nine rebounds, seven assists and one block over 37 minutes during Friday's 101-94 victory over Denver.

The Pelicans need Ingram to step his game up amid their injury woes, and the star forward did exactly that Friday against a Denver team that was missing Nikola Jokic (personal). Ingram remains the go-to player on offense for the Pelicans, and he's backing that up with strong numbers -- he's averaging 23.4 points, 6.0 rebounds, 6.0 assists and a combined 1.4 steals-plus-blocks in eight November outings.

  • Pelicans' Brandon Boston: Bounces back Friday

Boston chipped in 19 points (7-13 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, four assists and one steal in 38 minutes during Friday's 101-94 victory over Denver.

Boston was coming off two consecutive single-digit scoring performances during which he struggled with his shot, but he bounced back admirably in this one. The Pelicans need Boston to perform at a high level amid their injury woes, and he's been up to the challenge even when factoring in those two subpar efforts in the losses to Brooklyn and Oklahoma City. Through six starts, Boston is averaging 15.7 points, 5.2 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game while shooting 45.6 percent from the field.

  • Pelicans' Herbert Jones: Still not cleared for contact

Coach Willie Green said Friday that Jones (shoulder) is back on the court but is still not doing any contact practice, Jim Eichenhofer of the Pelicans' official site reports.

Jones hasn't played since Oct. 29 due to a small low-grade partial thickness tear in his rotator cuff. While Jones' initial timetable for return was 2-to-4 weeks from the beginning of November, it appears that his return will likely be toward the latter end of that timeline.

  • Pelicans' CJ McCollum: On track for return

Coach Willie Green said Friday that McCollum (adductor) has started to participate in some three-on-three and five-on-five action, Jim Eichenhofer of the Pelicans' official site reports.

McCollum hasn't played since Oct. 29 due to a right adductor strain, though Green said he is nearing a return to game action while ramping up in on-court activities, according to Eichenhofer. The star guard's presence has been missed in a depleted backcourt without Jordan Hawkins (back), Dejounte Murray (hand), Herbert Jones (shoulder) and Jose Alvarado (hamstring). McCollum's next chance to play will come Saturday against the Lakers, though it is unclear whether he will operate under a minutes restriction with the lengthy list of injuries to the Pelicans.
