Spurs' Devin Vassell: Available for Tuesday
Vassell (foot) is available for Tuesday's game against the Thunder.
After missing Saturday's game against Dallas for the second leg of a back-to-back set, Vassell is no longer showing up on the injury report. With Victor Wembanyama (knee) listed as doubtful, Vassell could see a heavy bump in usage rate against the Thunder.

Spurs' Victor Wembanyama: Downgraded to doubtful
Wembanyama (knee) has been downgraded to doubtful for Tuesday's game against the Thunder.
It appears that the Spurs are prepared to hold Wembanyama out for the second straight contest. Zach Collins started Saturday's game against Dallas in Wembanyama's absence and fared well, scoring 20 points with six rebounds, three blocks and one steal in 26 minutes.

Spurs' Victor Wembanyama: Questionable for Tuesday
Wembanyama (knee) is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Thunder, independent NBA writer Matthew Tynan reports.
Wembanyama missed Saturday's loss to Dallas, which was the second night of a back-to-back set. Before the absence, the second-year superstar had averaged 34.0 points, 12.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 3.8 blocks and 0.8 steals in 33.3 minutes per game over his prior four appearances. If Wembanyama remains sidelined for Tuesday's contest, Zach Collins would likely draw another start.

Spurs' Chris Paul: Limited impact in blowout loss
Paul notched 11 points (4-9 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), five rebounds, three assists and two steals in 25 minutes during Saturday's 110-93 loss to the Mavericks.
The Spurs competed hard in the first two quarters but crumbled in the second half, so Paul's minutes were cut short once the game got out of reach for San Antonio. The three assists tied a season-low mark for the veteran floor general, but at least Paul managed to score in double digits for the third time over his last four appearances. He's averaging 10.8 points and 8.5 assists per game in that stretch.

Spurs' Tre Jones: Plays 19 minutes off bench
Jones (ankle) ended with three points (1-5 FG, 1-3 3Pt), four assists and three rebounds across 19 minutes during Saturday's 110-93 loss to Dallas.
Jones made his long-awaited return following a 12-game absence but made a limited impact off the bench. With Chris Paul having settled in as the Spurs' starting point guard and having thus far stayed healthy this season, Jones may continue to find himself stuck in 15-to-20-minute role in most games.

Spurs' Zach Collins: Leads Spurs in loss Saturday
Collins posted 20 points (6-13 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 8-8 FT), six rebounds, three blocks and one steal over 26 minutes during Saturday's 110-93 loss to the Mavericks.
Collins got the start in place of Victor Wembanyama (knee), and even though he struggled with his shot from beyond the arc, he ended up leading the Spurs in scoring. Collins should return to the bench as soon as Wembanyama is ready to return to the hardwood, so his potential upside in most formats will be directly tied to the Frenchman's availability.

Spurs' Tre Jones: Will play Saturday
Jones (ankle) is available for Saturday's game against the Mavericks, Paul Garcia of ProjectSpurs.com reports.
Jones will return after a 12-game absence due to a sprained right ankle. The Spurs are likely to start Chris Paul and Stephon Castle in the backcourt once again, so Jones will see minutes off the bench.

Spurs' Zach Collins: Starting in place of Wembanyama
Collins will start Saturday's game against the Mavericks, interim head coach Mitch Johnson told Mike Curtis of The Dallas Morning News.
Collins will get the nod at center with Victor Wembanyama (right knee contusion) out. Sandro Mamukelashvili and Charles Bassey are also expected to see time at center. Collins is averaging 5.6 points and 3.3 rebounds per game off the bench this season, but he should experience an uptick in his usage as a starter.

Spurs' Victor Wembanyama: Ruled out Saturday
Wembanyama (knee) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Mavericks, independent NBA writer Matthew Tynan reports.
Wembanyama tallied a team-high 28 points and 14 rebounds in the Spurs' 120-115 loss to the Lakers on Friday. However, he may have suffered a right knee contusion in the process, which is serious enough for the 2023 No. 1 overall pick to be sidelined Saturday for the first time this season. Zach Collins will get the start at center in place of Wembanyama, per Mike Curtis of The Dallas Morning News.

Spurs' Tre Jones: Expected to play Saturday
Jones (ankle) is listed as probable for Friday's game versus the Mavericks.
Jones has missed San Antonio's last 12 contests due to a sprained right ankle but is expected to return to action Saturday. If the 24-year-old guard is upgraded to available, it wouldn't be surprising for him to operate on a minutes restriction.

Spurs' Devin Vassell: Sitting out Saturday
Vassell won't play in Saturday's game versus the Mavericks due to right foot injury management.
Vassell will miss the second leg of San Antonio's back-to-back Saturday as the team opts to play it cautiously due to a foot injury that kept him sidelined at the beginning of the season. The 24-year-old guard should be able to suit up for Tuesday's matchup with Oklahoma City.

Spurs' Victor Wembanyama: Iffy against Dallas
Wembanyama is listed as questionable for Saturday's game versus the Mavericks due to a right knee contusion.
Wembanyama is in danger of missing his first contest of the season Saturday due to a right knee injury. If the superstar big man is unable to suit up against Dallas, Zach Collins and Sandro Mamukelashvili are candidates to receive increased playing time.

Spurs' Stephon Castle: Scores 22 points Friday
Castle tallied 22 points (7-12 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 5-8 FT), five assists and two rebounds over 33 minutes in Friday's 120-115 loss to the Lakers.
Despite Devin Vassell being back in the fold, Castle made his sixth straight start Friday and was one point shy from tying a career high he set against the Jazz on Nov. 9. Castle finished Friday's game as the Spurs' second-leading scorer behind Victor Wembanyama (28), with the former connecting on three three-pointers for the second time this season. Across his six starts, Castle has averaged 14.0 points, 4.2 assists, 2.3 rebounds and 1.0 steals over 29.4 minutes per game.

Spurs' Chris Paul: Dishes 11 dimes Friday
Paul finished Friday's 120-115 loss to the Lakers with 11 points (3-6 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 3-3 FT), 11 assists, two rebounds and two steals over 29 minutes.
Paul has tallied 11 assists in each of his last three outings, and he now has five double-doubles through the first 13 games of the 2024-25 regular season. Even though he's averaging just 28.5 minutes per game, Paul has been effective in getting Victor Wembanyama, Stephon Castle and the rest of the young Spurs involved on offense. Paul is averaging 10.4 points, 8.8 assists, 3.6 rebounds and 1.4 steals to start the season.

Spurs' Victor Wembanyama: Double-double vs. Lakers
Wembanyama tallied 28 points (12-25 FG, 4-13 3Pt), 14 rebounds, five assists, two blocks and one steal over 34 minutes in Friday's 120-115 loss to the Lakers.
Wembanyama registered his fifth double-double of the season Friday, and he has logged at least two blocks in 12 of 13 regular-season games to start the 2024-25 campaign. Since the start of November, Wembanyama is averaging 25.5 points, 10.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 4.0 blocks and 1.5 steals over 31.9 minutes per game.
