  • Hurricanes' Jesperi Kotkaniemi: Finds assist Sunday

Kotkaniemi notched an assist and went plus-3 in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Blues.

Kotkaniemi didn't enjoy the offensive success of his linemates -- Martin Necas had two goals and two assists while Eric Robinson added a goal and two helpers. Still, Kotkaniemi has three points over his last four games and may be getting back to a more acceptable level of offense after struggling early in November. The 24-year-old is at two goals, nine assists, 40 shots on net, 14 PIM, 13 hits and a plus-10 rating through 17 outings overall.

  • Hurricanes' Dmitry Orlov: Credited with apple in win

Orlov distributed an even-strength assist in Sunday's 4-1 win over St. Louis.

Orlov facilitated Eric Robinson's second-period marker while adding three shots, one hit, one takeaway and a plus-3 rating in 18:45 of ice time. Orlov has the second-most points among Carolina's blueliners, an impressive feat considering the left-shot defenseman rarely receives power-play work. Overall, the 33-year-old has garnered three goals, six assists and a club-best plus-15 rating through 17 outings.

  • Hurricanes' Andrei Svechnikov: Scores on man advantage Sunday

Svechnikov scored his sixth goal of the season on the power play in Sunday's 4-1 win over St. Louis.

Svechnikov tied the score at 1-1 in the opening frame after depositing a feed on the power play from Martin Necas. Svechnikov also had a team-high five shots on goal in 17:46 of ice time. The 24-year-old left-shot winger has been extremely consistent through the early portion of the season -- he's been held off the scoresheet only four times through 17 contests. Svechnikov ranks second on the team in points with six goals and 10 assists. He has yet to produce a point-per-game campaign in his seven-year NHL career, but he's flirting with that pace this season.

  • Hurricanes' Eric Robinson: Three points in victory

Robinson generated a goal on his only shot and added two assists Sunday in a 4-1 win over St. Louis.

Robinson scored his fifth goal of the season in the middle frame before registering the primary helper on each of Martin Necas' tallies. Robinson has recorded two multi-point performances over his last four games after having none through the first 13 contests of the campaign. The 29-year-old has fit in well on Carolina's second line alongside Jesperi Kotkaniemi and Necas -- Robinson has logged five goals, seven assists and a plus-11 rating across 17 outings. After banking 10 points over 47 regular-season games split between Buffalo and Columbus in 2023-24, Robinson has already surpassed that number with his new club.

  • Hurricanes' Martin Necas: Well on way to career year

Necas racked up two goals and two assists in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Blues.

Necas had a hand in each of his team's markers, and he extended his point streak to 13 games in the victory. The right-shot winger has registered multi-point performances in eight of those contests. Necas ranks third in the NHL in scoring, and he has a whopping 14 more points than any of his teammates. The 2017 first-round pick (No. 12 overall) has compiled 11 goals, 19 assists and a plus-10 rating through 17 contests. Necas is well on his way to shattering his career-high 71 points that he produced during the 2022-23 campaign.

  • Hurricanes' Pyotr Kochetkov: Back in win column

Kochetkov turned aside 29 of 30 shots in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Blues.

Kochetkov had a seven-game win streak snapped against Utah on Wednesday, but he got back on track Sunday against St. Louis. The 25-year-old has been one of the league's better netminders through the early portion of the campaign -- Kochetkov is tied for second in the NHL with nine wins. The Russian backstop is up to a 9-2-0 record, .904 save percentage and 2.42 GAA overall.

  • Hurricanes' Pyotr Kochetkov: Ready to go Sunday

Kochetkov (undisclosed) will start at home Sunday against the Blues, Chip Alexander of The Raleigh News & Observer reports.

Kochetkov was sidelined by an injury Saturday against Ottawa, but he's good to go ahead of Sunday's matchup with St. Louis. The 25-year-old netminder is 8-2-0 with an .897 save percentage this year while taking over as Carolina's top goaltender with Frederik Andersen (lower body) sidelined.

  • Hurricanes' Yaniv Perets: Sent down Sunday

Perets was reassigned to AHL Chicago on Sunday, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports.

Perets was recalled to back up Spencer Martin on Saturday, though it appears Pyotr Kochetkov (undisclosed) will be available ahead of Sunday's matchup with St. Louis. The 24-year-old Perets is 1-2-0 with an .825 save percentage in the AHL this year.

  • Hurricanes' Andrei Svechnikov: Slings power-play helper

Svechnikov notched a power-play assist, two shots on goal and four hits in Saturday's 4-0 win over the Senators.

Svechnikov had back-to-back scoreless outings entering Saturday, but that came after an eight-game point streak. He was back on the scoresheet when he helped out on a third-period Jackson Blake tally. Svechnikov has been good so far in a top-six role, racking up five goals, 10 assists, 57 shots on net, 28 hits, 16 PIM and a minus-3 rating over 16 appearances.

  • Hurricanes' Martin Necas: Extends streak to 12 games

Necas logged a power-play assist and three shots on goal in Saturday's 4-0 win over the Senators.

Necas set up a Sebastian Aho tally in the second period to extend his point streak to 12 games. This was the third game in a row Necas has been limited to one point, but he's still finding ways to be productive. The 25-year-old has nine goals, 17 helpers, 39 shots on net, 11 hits and a plus-7 rating over 16 contests this season. While he's listed on the second line, he's arguably been the Hurricanes' most important scorer so far, and he's already nearly halfway to matching his 53-point campaign from the 2023-24 regular season.

  • Hurricanes' Jordan Staal: Provides pair of helpers

Staal notched two assists and went plus-2 in Saturday's 4-0 win over the Senators.

Staal has a goal and five helpers over his last five games. The 36-year-old center helped out on goals by linemates Jordan Martinook and William Carrier in Saturday's win. Staal has seven points, 16 shots on net, 19 hits, six PIM and a plus-8 rating through 16 contests in his usual third-line role as a shutdown center. While his offense is humming, Staal could be of interest in deeper fantasy formats.

  • Hurricanes' Shayne Gostisbehere: Two power-play helpers in win

Gostisbehere notched two power-play assists, three shots on goal and two hits in Saturday's 4-0 win over the Senators.

Gostisbehere has bounced back from a five-game slump, earning three power-play helpers over his last two contests. The defenseman continues to look good on the first unit, earning eight of his 12 points this season with the man advantage. He's picked up 29 shots on net, 18 hits, nine blocked shots and a plus-4 rating through 16 outings as well.

  • Hurricanes' William Carrier: Fills empty cage

Carrier scored an empty-net goal, added two PIM, logged two hits and went plus-2 in Saturday's 4-0 win over the Senators.

Carrier snapped a six-game dry spell with the empty-netter. The 29-year-old has earned a promotion to the third line while Seth Jarvis (upper body) has been sidelined, but Carrier hasn't been able to match the production of linemates Jordan Martinook and Jordan Staal. Carrier is up to four points, 16 shots on net, 39 hits, eight PIM and a plus-5 rating through 16 outings overall. He should continue to be a bottom-six fixture for the Hurricanes.

  • Hurricanes' Jackson Blake: Power-play tally in win

Blake scored a power-play goal on two shots in Saturday's 4-0 win over the Senators.

Blake's goal stretched the Hurricanes' lead to 3-0 in the third period. The 21-year-old rookie is getting an opportunity on the top power-play unit while seeing fourth-line usage at even strength, so he's worth consideration in deeper formats. He snapped a four-game point drought with his first career power-play point, and he's now at five goals, two assists, 30 shots on net and a plus-3 rating over 16 appearances this season.

  • Hurricanes' Sebastian Aho: Nets power-play tally

Aho scored a power-play goal on three shots and added two PIM in Saturday's 4-0 win over the Senators.

Aho had gone seven games without a goal, though he earned six assists in that span to stay productive. The 27-year-old center is up to four goals, 15 points, 45 shots on net, 11 hits, 10 PIM and a minus-1 rating over 16 contests. Aho has exceeded a point-per-game pace in three of the last four seasons, so he could still improve a bit on offense, particularly since he's shooting just 8.9 percent on the year.

  • Hurricanes' Jordan Martinook: Stays warm in win

Martinook scored a goal on four shots, dished an assist and went plus-2 in Saturday's 4-0 win over the Senators.

Martinook's goal was the game-winner at 8:00 of the first period, and he also helped out on William Carrier's empty-netter. Martinook has scored in five of the last six games, earning six goals and eight points in that span. For the season, the third-liner is up to six tallies, 11 points, 32 shots on net, 13 hits and a plus-11 rating over 16 appearances. He's worth a look in DFS and as a streaming option in season-long formats as long as he keeps scoring.

  • Hurricanes' Spencer Martin: Earns first career shutout

Martin posted a 25-save shutout in Saturday's 4-0 win over the Senators.

The Hurricanes were able to score in each period, and Martin did his part to quiet a tough offense. This was Martin's first career shutout as well as his first win over three appearances in 2024-25. He's now allowed six goals on 56 shots while going 1-1-0. It's unclear if Pyotr Kochetkov (undisclosed) will be ready to play Sunday versus the Blues -- if not, Martin could go back-to-back or Yaniv Perets could be in line for his second career appearance.
