Rangers' Will Cuylle: Imitates wrecking ball
Cuylle notched an assist and doled out 10 hits in Sunday's 2-0 win over the Kraken.
Cuylle is a physical player -- he's had at least five hits on seven occasions this season. The winger isn't devoid of offense, with four points over his last five contests and a total of five goals and seven assists through 16 games overall. He's added 30 shots on net, a plus-12 rating, 69 hits and eight PIM while holding steady in a third-line role. Cuylle's poised to blow away his rookie-year numbers of 21 points and 249 hits in 81 regular-season appearances.

Rangers' Kaapo Kakko: Sends helper in win
Kakko logged an assist and two hits in Sunday's 2-0 win over the Kraken.
Kakko set up a Zac Jones tally in the third period. This was Kakko's second point in the last three games, though that follows a stretch of four contests in which he was held off the scoresheet. The winger is up to two goals, seven assists, 24 shots on net, nine hits, 14 PIM and a plus-10 rating over 16 outings this season. He's been solid in a third-line role, but that usage doesn't promise consistency.

Rangers' Artemi Panarin: Threads assist in win
Panarin provided an assist in Sunday's 2-0 win over the Kraken.
Panarin's pass split through multiple Kraken players and found Alexis Lafreniere at the doorstep for the opening goal late in the second period. Panarin has yet to be held off the scoresheet in November, racking up four goals and five assists during his seven-game point streak. The superstar winger is up to 10 goals, 14 helpers, 55 shots on net and a plus-3 rating over 16 appearances. That's a scoring pace nearly identical to 2023-24, when he had 49 goals and 71 assists in 82 regular-season outings.

Rangers' Zac Jones: Scores first goal of campaign
Jones scored a goal and went plus-2 in Sunday's 2-0 win over the Kraken.
Jones has a goal and three assists over six games since he reclaimed a third-pairing spot in the lineup. With Victor Mancini down at AHL Hartford, Jones has an easier time staying in the lineup over veteran Chad Ruhwedel. For the season, Jones has five points, nine shots on net, eight blocked shots, seven hits and a plus-10 rating across 11 appearances. He's over halfway to setting a new career high in points.

Rangers' Alexis Lafreniere: Taps in goal
Lafreniere scored a goal on four shots and added two hits in Sunday's 2-0 win over the Kraken.
A perfectly threaded pass from Artemi Panarin gave Lafreniere a tap-in with plenty of open net to work with at 17:30 of the second period. Lafreniere has two goals and two assists during his four-game point streak, one contest shy of his longest heater of the year. The 23-year-old is at seven goals, 14 points, 30 shots, 19 hits and a minus-4 rating through 16 outings overall.

Rangers' Jonathan Quick: Shuts out Kraken
Quick posted a 24-save shutout in Sunday's 2-0 win over the Kraken.
Quick has earned a shutout in each of his last two starts. He's now 4-0-0 through five appearances this season, allowing just four goals on 135 shots overall. The 38-year-old is benefiting from selective usage as the backup to Igor Shesterkin, though Quick might get tougher matchups once the Rangers have back-to-back sets. It's not yet known if Quick will play again on this road trip, which includes stops in Vancouver on Tuesday, Calgary on Thursday and Edmonton on Saturday.

Rangers' Jonathan Quick: First off Sunday
Quick was the first goalie off the ice at the morning skate, per Mollie Walker of the New York Post, indicating he will guard the road net Sunday versus Seattle.
Quick is coming off a 37-save shutout in a 4-0 win over Detroit on Nov. 9. He has won all three of his starts this season. Seattle sits 18th in the league with 3.00 goals per game in 2024-25 and won by a 3-2 score against the Islanders on Saturday.

Rangers' Filip Chytil: Not on road trip
Chytil (upper body) will not travel with the Rangers to Seattle ahead of Sunday's tilt, Colin Stephenson of Newsday reports.
Chytil was injured Thursday when he collided with teammate K'Andre Miller in the middle frame of a 3-2 win over San Jose. Chytil could still join his teammates for their road trip through Western Canada, but that will depend on his evaluation. He has four goals and nine points in 15 games this season. Look for Jonny Brodzinski to center the fourth line in Sunday's contest.

Rangers' Jake Leschyshyn: Recalled from Hartford
Leschyshyn was called up from AHL Hartford on Saturday.
The move comes after Filip Chytil suffered an upper-body injury in Thursday's 3-2 win over San Jose. Leschyshyn has a goal and four assists in 13 AHL games this season. He will likely be an extra forward as the Rangers begin a four-game road trip in Seattle before heading to Western Canada,

Rangers' Jimmy Vesey: Tallies again Thursday
Vesey scored a goal on three shots and added three hits in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Sharks.
Vesey has two goals over his last three games, which is all of his scoring production through five appearances. The 31-year-old has resumed his role as a bottom-six fixture for the Rangers after recovering from a lower-body injury that kept him out for all of October. The winger has added eight shots on net, six hits and two blocked shots, and he can add a little physicality in addition to his depth scoring.

Rangers' Mika Zibanejad: Finds twine in Thursday's win
Zibanejad scored a goal and added two PIM in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Sharks.
Zibanejad had a terrible game versus the Jets on Tuesday, but he redeemed himself Thursday with his first goal since Oct. 22. The 31-year-old center has had trouble finding consistency early in the campaign -- he hasn't gotten on the scoresheet in more than two consecutive contests. He's at three goals, nine helpers, 30 shots on net, nine blocked shots and a minus-5 rating over 15 outings, and he remains in a top-line role.

Rangers' Vincent Trocheck: Lights lamp in win
Trocheck scored a goal on two shots, blocked two shots and added seven hits in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Sharks.
Trocheck ended a three-game point drought with his tally in the second period, which was the game-winner. The center started the year hot, but he's earned just three points over his last 10 outings despite maintaining his top-six role and power-play time. Trocheck is at four goals, six assists, 36 shots on net, 52 hits, 14 blocked shots and six PIM through 15 appearances.

Rangers' Igor Shesterkin: Back in win column Thursday
Shesterkin made 25 saves in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Sharks.
The 28-year-old had little chance on either goal, as the first came on a deflected shot that wobbled through heavy traffic over Shesterkin's shoulder, and the second was scored during a 6-on-4 power play in the final minute of the game after San Jose had pulled its netminder. Shesterkin appeared to be back on track after conceding 10 goals over his prior two starts, and on the season he's 7-4-1 with a 2.78 GAA and .914 save percentage.

Rangers' Filip Chytil: Sustains upper-body injury
Chytil (upper body) won't finish Thursday's game versus the Sharks.
Chytil was hurt in a collision with teammate K'Andre Miller in the second period. While Chytil was initially able to stay in the game, he didn't return for the third and was promptly ruled out. Given Chytil missed most of 2023-24 due to an upper-body injury, there will be concern about his health at least until the Rangers provide more details.

Rangers' Igor Shesterkin: Starting against San Jose
Shesterkin will serve as the starting goaltender for Thursday's home game against the Sharks, Mollie Walker of the New York Post reports.
Shesterkin has struggled over his last two outings, turning aside just 34 of 44 shots (.773 save percentage) en route to losses to the Sabres and Jets. He'll have a chance to right the ship against the Sharks, who have averaged 2.35 goals per game to begin the year, which ranks second-worst in the league.
