  • Kraken's Philipp Grubauer: Gets no help in loss

Grubauer stopped 21 of 23 shots in Sunday's 2-0 loss to the Rangers.

Grubauer kept the game close, but an Alexis Lafreniere backdoor tap-in in the second period and a Zac Jones blast from the faceoff circle in the third were enough to sink him. This was Grubauer's first action since Nov. 5 -- he missed three games due to an accident at home. The 32-year-old is now 1-6-0 with a 3.11 GAA and an .881 save percentage over seven starts. Joey Daccord has been better by every measure and will likely continue to see a slight edge in starts, especially since the Kraken don't have a back-to-back for nearly two weeks.

  • Kraken's Philipp Grubauer: Guarding home crease

Grubauer will be in the blue paint for Sunday's home matchup against the Rangers, Colin Stephenson of Newsday relays.

Grubauer will make his first start since allowing five goals in a loss to Colorado on Nov. 5. The 32-year-old has lost three consecutive contests, and he's 1-5-0 with an .877 save percentage and a 3.27 GAA through six appearances. The Rangers rank fifth in the league with 3.67 goals per game through 15 contests.

  • Kraken's Jamie Oleksiak: Nets game-winner Saturday

Oleksiak scored a goal on two shots in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Islanders.

Oleksiak snapped a seven-game skid at a great time, tallying at 16:47 of the third period to complete the Kraken's comeback. The 31-year-old defenseman doesn't add a lot on offense -- he's gotten on the scoresheet in just three of 18 games so far, though two of those instances were multi-point efforts. Oleksiak has two goals, three assists, 24 shots on net, 18 hits, 37 blocked shots and a plus-1 rating while filling a top-four role.

  • Kraken's Jared McCann: Riding five-game point streak

McCann scored a goal on two shots in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Islanders.

McCann has scored four times and added three assists during his five-game point streak. He provided a quick response to a go-ahead goal from Brock Nelson in the third period. McCann is up to nine tallies, 12 assists, 42 shots on net and a plus-10 rating through 18 appearances on Seattle's top line this season.

  • Kraken's Brandon Tanev: Two helpers Saturday

Tanev notched two assists in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Islanders.

His shot midway through the first period deflected in off Yanni Gourde to open the scoring, and Tanev then helped set up Jamie Oleksiak late in the third for the game-winner. Tanev extended his point streak to four games (four goals, two assists), but that heater comes on the heels of a 10-game stretch in which he failed to get on the scoresheet at all. The 32-year-old winger has never recorded more than 16 goals or 35 points in a season, and he's unlikely to stay productive for much longer.

  • Kraken's Yanni Gourde: Two points against Isles

Gourde scored his first goal of the season and added an assist in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Islanders.

The veteran center was credited with the first tally of the night midway through the first period, when Brandon Tanev's shot deflected in off Gourde as he tried to cause chaos in the crease. It was Gourde's first multi-point performance of the season, as his middle-six role and lack of power-play time have limited his fantasy upside. Through 18 games, he's managed only six points with 30 PIM, 26 hits, 21 shots on net, 13 blocked shots and a minus-1 rating.

  • Kraken's Joey Daccord: Wins fourth straight

Daccord stopped 22 shots in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Islanders.

The 28-year-old netminder has won four straight starts as he's seized hold of the top job in the Seattle crease. On the season, Daccord is 8-3-1 with a 2.51 GAA and .918 save percentage, and he's given up three goals or fewer in seven straight outings.

  • Kraken's Joey Daccord: Expected to start Saturday

Daccord is set to start in Saturday's home game against the Islanders, per Ethan Sears of the New York Post.

Daccord has won his past three starts while stopping 77 of 83 shots (.928 save percentage). That gives him a 7-3-1 record, 2.55 GAA and .918 save percentage across 11 appearances in 2024-25. The Islanders rank 25th offensively with 2.65 goals per game this season.

  • Kraken's Ben Meyers: Recalled from Coachella Valley

Meyers was recalled from AHL Coachella Valley on Saturday.

Meyers had two goals and eight points in 11 games with the Firebirds this season. He will likely be an extra forward as the Kraken needed to fill a spot with Jordan Eberle (lower body) out of action Saturday.

  • Kraken's Jordan Eberle: Will miss at least two games

Eberle (lower body) will miss Saturday's game against the Islanders and Sunday's tilt versus the Rangers, Alison Lukan of the Kraken Hockey Network reports.

Eberle will be evaluated further after the weekend, so a better timetable for his return could be revealed next week. He left Thursday's 3-1 win over Chicago due to the injury. Eberle has six goals and 11 points in 17 outings in 2024-25. Although the Kraken are temporarily losing Eberle, Daniel Sprong might make his debut with the squad Saturday. He was acquired from Vancouver in exchange for future considerations last Friday and has gotten his immigration paperwork approved, which enables him to play for the Kraken.

  • Kraken's Daniel Sprong: Reporting Friday

Sprong has had his immigration paperwork approved, and he will join the Kraken on Friday, Kate Shefte of The Seattle Times reports.

Sprong was dealt from Vancouver a week ago, and he was finally able to cross the border to join up with his new teammates. Sprong had a goal and two assists over nine games with Vancouver. He'll likely see bottom-six minutes with the Kraken and will likely play on the second power-play unit.

  • Kraken's Ryker Evans: Helps out on power play

Evans posted a power-play assist, three hits and two blocked shots in Thursday's 3-1 win over the Blackhawks.

Evans led the Kraken with 24:33 of ice time in this contest. The 22-year-old blueliner has been limited to two assists over six outings in November, but he's also played more than 20 minutes in five of those games as he continues to fill in on the top pairing for Vince Dunn (upper body). For the season, Evans has nine points (two on the power play), 21 shots on net, 30 hits, 28 blocked shots, 10 PIM and a plus-2 rating through 17 appearances. That matches his point total from 36 games last season, and it's a scoring pace that could make him useful in fantasy given his other contributions.

  • Kraken's Oliver Bjorkstrand: Generates assist

Bjorkstrand produced an assist in Thursday's 3-1 win over the Blackhawks.

Bjorkstrand has a goal and two assists over three games since he was a healthy scratch Nov. 5. The 29-year-old winger is finding more consistency while maintaining a middle-six role, though he could be a candidate for the top line if Jordan Eberle (lower body) misses time after exiting Thursday's game. Bjorkstrand is at eight points, 39 shots on net, 13 hits and a plus-3 rating across 16 outings this season.

  • Kraken's Chandler Stephenson: Notches power-play assist

Stephenson posted a power-play assist and two shots on goal in Thursday's 3-1 win over the Blackhawks.

Stephenson has six assists over his last eight games, and five of those helpers have come with the man advantage. That's not bad production, but he's not generating many chances for himself or offering consistent even-strength offense yet. The 30-year-old center is up to 10 points (six on the power play), 16 shots on net and a minus-4 rating over 17 outings this season while playing in a top-six role.

  • Kraken's Jared McCann: Supplies helper in win

McCann notched an assist, two blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 3-1 win over the Blackhawks.

McCann's point streak is up to four games (three goals, three assists) after he set up a Matty Beniers tally in the second period. This was the first outing during that streak in which McCann didn't have a goal. The 28-year-old winger is up to 20 points (eight tallies, 12 helpers), 40 shots on net, 13 blocked shots and a plus-9 rating through 17 contests overall.

  • Kraken's Brandon Tanev: Scores again Thursday

Tanev scored an empty-net goal on two shots and added two hits in Thursday's 3-1 win over the Blackhawks.

Tanev scored for the fourth time in his last three games. The 32-year-old winger has had bursts of offense in previous seasons, but he rarely sustains them in the long run. He's at five goals, one assist, 32 shots on net, 37 hits, 24 blocked shots and a minus-3 rating across 17 outings this season. Tanev could be a candidate to move up in the lineup if Jordan Eberle (lower body) isn't able to suit up Saturday against the Islanders.
